Life goes on...

8:16 PM 70

My Mood:

No matter what...happiness, sadness, hurt feelings, madness, loss of a loved one, marriage, a new born baby, someone moves out of state, you fight with you best friend, you let your pride get the best of you...Life goes on.
Life is a gift.
Don't waste your time on petty little thing and make a mountain out of a mole hill.
Don't let useless people take over your life and think they are getting under your skin, they are making fools of themselves. It's their lives that are in shambles and want you to be miserable as they are.
Never miss an chance to say I am sorry, I love you or say it in return.
You only get one chance at life...Live it to your fullest, it goes fast...But if you choose to miss out...Life goes on.

16 years of Bliss!

9:52 PM         64

My Mood:

Happy 16th Anniversary to My Lovie and myself! It seems like yesterday that we exchanged vows and said I do. Our love grows more and more with each passing day. I couldn't have chosen a better husband for me. I truly believe that God created us to be together. I love you My Lovie...Happy Anniversary, I am looking forward to spending the rest of my life with you!
I joined The Secret Santa Shindig hosted Kori (Thanx Kori...You did a GREAT job!) My secret Santa was Pam from Country Mouse, City Mouse I received my gift on Dec. 12, but wanted to wait till Christmas to open it! So...After we got home from my parents Christmas Eve it was after mid-night...SO I opened my gift!

First I had a letter from Pam telling me how much fun she had reading my blog and that she hopes I like my gift and she was sending some of their snow our way! WELL...Needless to say all that time that beautiful gift was under my tree I didn't know that was the reason it had snowed in South Louisiana! SNEAUX straight from Canada with LOVE! THANX Pam! Now the other gifts I received!

First I opened this LOVELY hand beaded snow flake ornament! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!

I had to put it on the tree right then!

Then this adorable sign with Let it snow with MY FAV snowmen on it and a glass snowflake sun catcher! Isn't it pretty! It will be hung in the new house in my kitchen window YEAR round! And when I see the sun gleaming a lil rainbow I will think of you Pam and the snow from Canada! Thank you again for my wonderful gifts! I love them!

Christmas was a lil different this year. My brother and family come ever other year and this the the other year, my niece was home in bed sick and Lovie's grandparents were in Texas. It sure didn't feel like Christmas with most of the family not here.
Christmas Eve we went to my parents for out traditional corn & crab soup and game gift fun! We had a special celebration, my great nephew babe' A's 1st Christmas!

We all ate and then started playin' our game! TIME to steal! HEHE But as the game went on everyone was getting what they wanted and no one wanted to steal! Bro-in-law got a fish fryer, two nieces got fire pits, sis got a radio, momma got cooking pans, daddy got a back massaging chair pad (I wanted that, but couldn't steal from my daddy!) nephew got a safe, other got a heated throw, I got a shower radio and Lovie got a heated throw...So everyone was happy with their gift and no on wanted to steal, so the game was short this year! But I KNOW next year when my brother is home there while be some stealin' going on! =0)
Then it was time for babe' A to open his gifts! He had so much fun pulling at the paper! Lovie and I gave him a pair of Mickey footie jammies, stuffed Mickey, Curious George Christmas book and stuffed George. He loved the stuffies! and REALLY wanted the book! He was too cute!
We got home and I open my Secret Santa gift, then we opened our gifts from each other! YAY! Lovie gave me a Jimi, UGG's, My Pillow, A Tink hoodie. AND he surprised me with the Infiniti by Conair Ionic Steam Straightener!! He got Guitar Hero World Tour from me, I know doesn't sound like much compared to what all he got me!
After we opened our goodies it was time for the girls to see what Santa Paws brought! They received lots of toys, some CUTE new outfits, socks and treats! They were good girls! I love watching them dig in their stockings...They pull everything out!

Christmas morning we NORMALLY are at Lovie's dad for 8am...Well we sleep in! By the time we got there our niece Miss. P had gotten up and had seen what Santa brought! Bummer! We exchanged gifts with the family and had a bite to eat. Miss. P  LOVED the electric drums we gave her! They go with the the guitar Santa brought! HEHE
We went by my parents for a few minutes, they couldn't decided what they were going to do. They wanted to go to a movie and then again they weren't sure...Some of them ended up going and Momma & Daddy stayed home.
We went to our BFF's to exchange gifts and have dinner with them. There was so much food! YUMMY...But I was full and couldn't eat, I did have a piece of turkey thou!
Lovie received from them a knife set and I got a cool hat and a cute snuggly throw! My BFF said oh there is one more gift for Jeauxdi...Her son hands me a box and her hubby said that's from me! I didn't know what to think! I started opening the box and I saw Sony! I KNEW what it was! MY Cosmopolitan Pink VAIO CS LAPTOP! Ekkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk! Lovie got me again! He sooooooooooooooooo surprised me with this! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT! Thank you LOVIE! XOXO

It's hard to believe another Holiday season has come and gone. Now it's time for Lovie and I to buckle down and start our search more heavily! Time to get MOVIN! I can't wait!

Have a giggly night and sweet, sweet dreams! I know what I will be dreaming of!

Something cookin’ in the kitchen!

12:14 PM         64

My Mood:

This morning I started cooking my chex mix that I cook every year. The house smells so good...And yes I have sampled, YUMMY!
Friday after Lovie got home we went to finish our Christmas shopping, we started out at Target, then headed to the Mall of Louisiana...Oh the hussle and bussle of the crowd!  We got our list done all but one, that one was an exchange we forgot at home! Opps!
Saturday night we went to dinner with family and friends at  The Chimes to celebrate Lovie’s & my niece-in-law’s B-days and my parents 51’s anniversary.
This was Lovie and I’s first visit to the newest location, it was fabulous! The service was as great as the food! They were quick and steady for 16 of us.
I had a crab cake sandwich, the BEST I have EVER had! I couldn’t eat it all, but oh my it was good! It was perfect! I have never had one as yummy as that! I ready for another!
Sunday we HAD to back out shopping one more time, we had to exchange one gift. We ended up going to PetsMart  for a few more gifts for the fur babies from Santa Paws, then Wal Mart to get the stuff we needed to cook with...MORE than we planned on for the afternoon, but glad we got it over with!
Yesterday I did laundry, folded, hung and put clothes away. I was going to back cookies, but Lovie took over the baking from me! =0) He bake NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE Refrigerated Cookies...Yeah we cheated! He baked mint swirled chocolate chip and chocolate chip with caramel inside! YUMMMMMMY!
I started wrapping gifts to go under our pink Christmas tree! One I didn’t wrap was Lovie’s because he knows what he is getting! He helped pick it out! See it in front! LOL I did put a bow on it! I love the paper we choose this year, it matches the tree! Pink, silver, black and white! PRETTY!

I didn’t think I would ever get done, then started running out of paper! But by the time the last gift was wrap all was well! Oh and Lovie had his years paper roll playin’! HeHe My poor fur babies were in my lap trembling while I was trying to wrap gift while him talking scary to them through the rolls! MEAN DADDY! =0/
After I got everything cleaned up and all the gift under the tree the girls started checking them out!

“Lexi” wants to know which one is hers?

“Belle” is taking a peek!

She is STILL waiting!

We have the girls stockings ready for them! I can’t wait for Christmas morning for them to see what Santa Paws brought!

Well…I have been at this blog post and cooking all day (been having to get up every 15 minutes to stir!) I have two pans in the oven, on my second batch, and two more to go! Hope you are have a merry ole’ time getting ready for your Christmas festivities! I am gonna lean my head back for a 15 minute nap! HA...Lovie will be here in a bit! Have a great night!

Property of The USA…

8:44 PM         64

My Mood:

Yesterday I was watching Good Morning America like I do every morning...Melissa Etheridge was one of the guest, she was talking about her Christmas album that just came out and then sang a song from it. I was not “MOVED” by the song at all...But angered!
I don’t know the name of the song, but the main chorus has these words “Mister, Bring my baby home this December”. I soooo get the message, BUT...(And that is a BIG BUT), doesn’t she know that when each and every solider signs that dotted line they are made aware that they may have to defend our country or help one of our neighboring countries and not be home for a holiday. Yes it’s hard on the soldier's and the families, but that is what they signed up for.
My Lovie was in the Army, right out of high school. He enjoyed being in the military, it taught him a lot, it helped him to get back on the right track, he had the chance to see most of the world and yes he fought in a war. 17 months in Desert Storm, in a tank. So he knows what it’s like to miss a Christmas.
I asked him if they received Christmas cards and goodie packages...He said “nope, never saw anything”. That is sad. I didn’t know him at that time, I met him about 4 months after he came home.
I feel for our soldiers and their families, BUT, Melissa Etheridge is asking for “Mister” to bring them home...Well, “Mister” Obahma says he is going to bring them home, I don’t think this is a good idea. I do believe there is going to be hell to pay here in the sates after all our soldiers are home. Don’t get me wrong I want them home also, but when it is safe for everyone. I would love world peace, I’m always throwin’ the peace sign! But we have to see the bigger picture, we are not “playing” war over there, it’s the real deal!
There are so many that join the military for the wrong reasons! Some just see it as a paycheck or college money. And then when they are sent to war they whine about how horrible it is and boohoo about not being home for the holidays! All I can say to those is this... “YOU shouldn’t have signed up, you are not a TRUE soldier at heart and as far as I am concerned you are turning your back on America!” When you sign that line you are property of the United States of America, you have a job to do, make us proud.

So folks like Melissa Etheridge  need to learn what a soldier is and how to be a TRUE AMERICAN! Support our troops while they are doing their job! What are we suppose to do, let anyone join the military and play war here in the states? They LEARNED and PRATICED for this, stop whining, get on your knees and pray for their safety, to get control of things over there and then they can come home so we will not have to worry and be looking over our shoulder every few seconds!

I bid you all goodnight and sweet dreams!

My Lovie’s 38th B-Day…

7:13 PM         63

My Mood:

My Lovie turned 38 today! We  were lazy most of the morning, then finally had coffee. We watched a movie this afternoon and just had pizza for dinner and we’re watching the finale of Survivor! We will be celebrating his birthday next weekend!

I joined The Secret Santa Shindig this year. I had fun shopping for my partners gift! I received my gift on Friday! I was SOOOOO excited I ALMOST opened it! But I stopped myself and put it under my pink Christmas tree and will open it on Christmas Day! See…

We went to do some Christmas shopping Saturday at The Mall of Louisiana. We always shop late in the season because we start our shopping while at Disney World, so we had to get on the ball for my nephew and niece that live in North Carolina! We had fun, but walked out feet off! But it was worth it for the smiles on those faces! Here are some pics we took while there!

Our NEW tree topper! Isn’t she CUTE?!?

OK…Now for the MOST EXCITING part of our week! It SNEAUXED Wednesday! YES…I said SNOWED! (sneauxed like I like to say!) We knew it was coming, but no one was expecting as much as we got! almost 5 in.! It was so beautiful! My parents called to wake us up to see it! It was sooooo exciting, the fur babies didn’t know what to think!
Lovie had to BRAVE the roads, which I was NOT happy about! We don’t get sneaux here, we are not use to it, there were so many wrecks that day! It was scary! But anyway…Here are some South Louisiana Sneaux Pics! ENJOY no telling when well see this again!

our “Sneaux Mickey”!

The girls running out to see the sneaux!

It was an eventful week and weekend here…And only 10 days till Christmas!
Hope you and yours had a week and weekend filled with lots of Christmas magic and giggles! Goodnight and Sweet Dreams!

What a day!

6:21 PM         40

My Mood:

My laptop went ha-poop on me Monday. Lovie clicked yes to an update and it messed it up some how?!?! Toshiba has a recall out on this, THANK GAWD! SO…My baby was bundled up and shipped to be fixed! 7 to 12 “working” days to get it back, so I look for it around the 29th! =0(  My nights in my nest for TV time is gonna be rough!
Yesterday I tried to blog…Wanted to do my Tuesday meme’s and I was tagged by my friend over at Shoulda Been a Belle …My blog writer locked up on me! Grrrrrr! So I gave up! My sinus headache was kicking back in anyway.
This morning I got up got my coffee sat down press the on button to my desk top and NOTHING! UGHHHHHH…Lovie told me to unplug it, it might have been a power surge. Ok I did that twice…NOTHING! I think I have a voodoo no computer curse on me! =0/  Am I destine to not have a computer? I was just waiting for my Iphone to die any second! UGH please no…My last line of communication! (well Lovie make shift, pieced together if ya wanna call it a computer is on his desk I could use, but scared I will jinx it too!)
I texted Lovie to let him know I was computer less! When he got home he check my computer and said he forget to tell me one step to do! OMG…THANK GOODNESS! It works! YAY!
It has gotten really chilly here in the bayou! We MIGHT have a lil SNEAUX! HA…Yeah I said it SNEAUX! Can ya believe!?! I am sure it will not be much, but I hope we do get enough to where we can get some pictures! FINGERS CROSSED! It’s not often we get snow down here, so everyone is buzzin! hehe Ok I am off to my nest to watch my shows  (Lovie and I have a complete deferent taste is TV programs! LOL) Have a snuggly night and sweet dreams!

Santa Paws came to town!

8:00 PM         59

My Mood:

The girls had a lovely day at the spa! "Belle" had her nails polished red and had her tail dyed red also! What a festive lil poof she has back there!Batting Eyelashes
We went downtown to The Big BR for  The Festival of Lights! We put the girls coats on and put them in their stroller with a snuggly blanket and headed out!
Everything was decorated and covered in lights! "Belle" has a rough time in the stroller, she thinks she HAS to have human (Mine or Lovie's) touch 24/7! But if you keep moving she will quit down and enjoy watching what's going by!
We saw a wise man teaching the children how to make something, not sure what it was... A choir was singing at the Methodist Church, hot chocolate was being made (smelled yummy! wish it was ready!) We missed the live nativity, which I am sorry we did, that is my favorite part of the night!
The fireworks starting going off to signal the lighting of the tree! My girls DO NOT like the noise of fireworks! Poor things were both huddled in the back of their stroller trembling Sad . I was comforting them and Lovie was snapping pics! They were crying and Lovie was moving farther from me! People keep stopping to see the puppies, and they were not in the mood to see people! LOL  I was a lil nervous! But once the fireworks subsided  everything calmed back down...Ahhh!
The tree was hugh and VERRA pretty, it was as tall as the two story building it stood next too! I just noticed we didn't get a picture of it! Bummer!
Baton Rouge is under a lot of construction and remodeling, so the city was not as decorated as it normally is, but it was beautiful.
We got home and the girls both snuggled on their blanket with me until I went to my nest, they were tired!

The Old State Capitol

North & Third

Old Governors Mansion

We got up Saturday with intentions of getting out of the house and movin a lil early...Well...I took a sinus pill and fell asleep in my chair! Lovie FINALLY got me awake about noon and we got moving! We went to Paw-ticular Pups in town for the girls to see Santa Paws and have their picture taken with him. Mrs. Claus came along with him! What a treat! The girls took right to them and whispered what they wanted for Christmas and then smiled for the camera!
After a treat ("Lexi" hide hers in the photographers purse!Blushing) and many goodbyes we headed out. We went over to Bass Pro Shop to have a walk around. Yes they allow you to bring your pets in! Isn't that NICE! We got a basket once we got inside and they were ready to ride! We couldn't walk five steps without getting stopped! Everyone wanted to speak to the girls! NOT us! The girls! Winking

We found an "Elf" that told us that we COULD take pictures with Santa! YAY! She was verra helpful and fell in love with the girls and they we lovin' on her right back!

My helpful lil Elf

We got a time card and then went exploring around the store to kill time. Everything was decorated! It was so pretty and magical! "Lexi" enjoyed riding and standing up on the side when someone would stop us. Now "Belle" she STAYED of the back on the buggy whining for me to pick her up! I keep trying to make her stop but she was not a happy camper!
Then I noticed her lil feet where going through the bottom of the buggy, so Lovie went and got them a blanket to put down. That helped some and I gave them a cookie.
We went and looked at the BIG snappin' turtle and the fish. Of course I had to go through the shoe department! The girls gathered a BIG crowd there! I let Lovie entertain them while looked at shoes! ~*giggle*~
It was getting close to our time to see Santa! So we headed back that way. Before we got in line we had our picture taken by another friendly Elf by the reindeer!

Then it was time to get in line and wait our turn to see Santa! They had a few people that walked right passed everyone in line and went to the front and one left MAD because they wouldn't let them  get in the front of everyone else already standing the line! Come on it's Christmas! It's about the children seeing Santa! She were fussing saying "we're going home!" the poor lil girl was starting to cry...Thumbs-down Mommy needs to be on Santa's NAUGHTY list!
We waited and people stopped and talked to the girls and us! And then finally (like 20 LONG minutes later...Oh what a wait! LOL) it was our turn to see Santa! We got the girls all ready and we were told we had to hold them, ok no biggie...Santa pointed and said "I wanna hold her", I said who "Belle" he shook he head and laughed! He pointed again at ME! Then I laughed! It was a friend of ours in the Santa suit! SO of course I HAD to sit on Santa's lap!
BOW CHICKA WOW WOW! Ya think Santa's gonna be good to me? Gift with a bow

Us heading to the car to go look at Christmas lights...

We ended our night at Copeland's Cheesecake Bistro for cheesecake and coffee before heading home! What a fun day!

We had a fun weekend with our fur babies. I have been paying for it today with this sinus infection, my girlies must have been tired too, they have been in my nest with me all day too! I hope you and yours had as much fun as we did this weekend! Enjoy your Monday!

A day at the spa…Ahhhhh!

10:04 PM         41

My Mood:

I am getting things ready for picture day tomorrow! The girls at the “spa” having a day of beauty today so they will be fresh for the pictures! SOOO exciting, I wonder what they will ask Santa Paws to bring them? Hmm…
Lovie and I are both on antibiotics for this sinus mess we have. Poor thing didn’t sleep night before last because his nose was so blocked. He called our DR and they worked him in to get a shot. This morning he is breathing better! Thank goodness! Yesterday I just KNEW he was going to BLOW something out the way he was blowin’ his nose so much and hard! WHEW!
SO glad he is feeling better, we have lots to do and places to go! And Christmas shopping to START! YAY! The holiday crowds, the decorations and lights! Can’t wait! Hope you have fun this weekend with Holiday shopping!
